Over a decade, Nabed has significantly impacted patient education through its extensive library, which includes 1500 carefully selected videos in both English and Arabic. This tailored health content has reached more than 300 million individuals across the Arab world, supporting them throughout their healthcare journey.

As a solution, Nabed goes beyond a standard hospital treatment procedure. It promotes wellness and taking care of oneself rather than simply taking medications and conducting a range of prescribed medical procedures – all with the help of curated, treatment-related content.
With a hospital patient as an end user in mind, Nabed is designed to cover the entire cycle of content needs for hospitals. As a technical partner, Devox was asked to cover the development of waiting room TV and interactive tablet, exam room 3D wallboard and prescribing dashboard, and a post-visit mobile app for patients. Accordingly, we incorporated multiple user personas the solution features:
Implementation:
As Nabed is a platform encompassing a wide cycle of content sharing and distribution, we enriched it with multiple user roles, such as content manufacturer, clinics’ side roles like administration and doctors, and, of course, the patient.
We enabled content manufacturers to launch, track and manage their campaigns, including the financial aspect. The Nabed campaign dashboard now allows creating a campaign from scratch, setting parameters like targeted brands or institutions, planning the budget, et cetera.
For hospitals, our team incorporated the management of content throughout several mediums. We made it possible to control several outputs for content distribution, for instance, patient’s interactive tablet, lounge TVs, and wallboards.
Our engineers enabled both hospitals and content manufacturers to access the statistics of the viewed content. Naturally, the statistics screen features various parameters – from patients and content to different metrics (views, filters, prescribed & watched, tops, etc.)
We thought out the possibility for doctors to prescribe content for their patients as a part of UI’s interactivity. This prescribed content is displayed on the doctor’s dashboard along with the patients’ information. Likewise, we gave the patient a dashboard with prescribed content and progress tracking.
Results:
We helped Nabed turn their largest collection and 1500 carefully chosen films in both English and Arabic around. Thanks to our consulting, UX research, development and design, Nabed’s engaging customized health content has demonstrated a major influence over patient education, reaching over 300 million individuals in the Arab globe along their journey.
