The client’s internal platform, used daily by over 120 people, was built over 15 years ago. It struggled with performance issues, outdated tech (VBScript, jQuery), and poor UX, making coordination and reporting increasingly inefficient. The system, being highly specific, handled everything from team hierarchy and release cycles to task boards and performance dashboards.
Introduction:
The client relied on a custom-built project management tool, deeply embedded in daily operations, including managing teams, roles, workflows, and analytics. After 15 years of development, it struggled to keep up with modern performance standards and scalability needs.
The outdated tech stack, poor UI, and lack of integration with modern tools created friction in project tracking, decision-making, and collaboration. However, the client was not ready to migrate to modern tools, opting for their precisely tailored solution.
This way, Devox Software was brought in to modernize the platform. We needed to preserve valuable business logic while rebuilding the system to match today’s performance standards.

We have completely redesigned the architecture and workflows to reflect the client’s evolving structure and add scalability and performance to the app.
We rebuilt the front end using React with reusable, component-based UI and swapped out the antiquated VBScript backend with strong, contemporary .NET Core APIs. Clear visibility into analytics, team metrics, and individual performance tracking is now available thanks to redesigned dashboards.
Critical business logic was preserved during the successful migration of more than a decade’s worth of operational data by our team. This established the foundation for upcoming AI-powered analytics and intelligent automation technologies in addition to guaranteeing continuity.
