Since 1992, our client has evolved from a small claims processing firm into a leading global provider. Now, they offer an all-in-one service ecosystem to ensure their clients keep a finger on the pulse of their massive operational workloads.

Product:
The core to the client’s product is complete transparency of customers’ supply chains. To reach that, they partner with carriers, customers, and vendors worldwide to allow seamless integration and visibility. To ensure that, they needed a robust set of tech solutions to help streamline their logistics management processes, optimize their supply chain, and ultimately reduce the overall cost burden per shipment.
Introduction:
The client’s total solution stack needed a revamp from the ground up since the hardware and software were extremely outdated. Moreover, the client’s offering included multiple products, so we had to build several projects simultaneously with zero downtime. To cope with that, we needed a solid research and IT strategy in the first place.
As a result, we have broken down the project into two phases — one for modernization the ecosystem, the other for driving growth.

The Technical Delivery Manager supervises all four projects. The team includes 16 full-time members with unmatched experience, extended with additional expertise when needed:
Solution Architect, UI/UX Designer, Lead AQA, Lead Frontend Developer, 2 Lead Backend Developers, Lead Backend Developer, 4 React Developers, 4 .Net Developers, and QA.

Customer experience and satisfaction were dropping, so we needed to act fast and clean to re-architect the solution with special attention to business interruption prevention.

Solution:
We have researched and audited the client’s business operations, including opportunity windows and security issues, and, on top of that, forged a smooth, downtime-free IT strategy. Accordingly, we have implemented two separate workflows: one dedicated to hotfixes and another for the new features development.
This two-phase strategy has ensured a navigation plan to a stable, scalable solution that retains and acquires customers. For that purpose, we have managed to revamp the entire ecosystem in one year, including:
We had to modernize the system on many levels by rebuilding architecture, refactoring the code, migrating from on-premise to replace the old one with the newest technology, and better UI/UX design.
Devox team has created the concept of a Unified Identity system with up-to-date protocols for authorization across all subprojects to improve security and user management. We plan to integrate it in phase two with all client’s global software products.
The finishing touch, to ensure product quality, an automated testing framework was integrated into the development process, allowing the team to detect and address issues early in the dev phase. This proactive approach significantly reduced post-deployment errors and contributed to a smooth release.
